LibertySoft - Output channels and Data formats
Print Output
In production, LibertySoft first outputs the formatted documents in a device neutral data format. Once a device driver is selected, an output device specific data format is created.
The LibertySoft device drivers optimize the output data stream for the specific target device taking into account the size of the data stream and achievable throughput (speed) of that device.
The output drivers support various printers from office printers through to high-performance printing systems
Archive output
ocuments produced by LibertySoft can be forwarded in standard digital formats such as TIFF or Adobe’s PDF to whatever archiving system is installed and available.
At the same time the indices for subsequent search and retrieval of the individual documents are also transferred to the archiving system.
E-Mail and SMS
Depending on certain criteria in the raw input data, it is possible to decide during the production of the output documents, whether an individual document should be forwarded by e-mail rather than printed. For example, if the input data includes an e-mail address for a given recipient, the document for that recipient can be forwarded as an attachment per e-mail. Where the e-mail address is not available, the document can be printed and forwarded using traditional methods. In both cases, a digital copy of the document can be feed into the archiving system.
Output documents as fax
Parallel to various other output channels such as print or archive, documents created by LibertySoft can also be output by fax. Which documents are forwarded by fax can be determined at run time depending on information in the raw input data. For example, a fax number would be the minimum requirement for switching output to the fax channel.
Output documents as PDF-file
Documents created by LibertySoft can be output in Adobe’s Portable Document Format (PDF). The LibertySoft PDF driver, once configured in an output channel, can output a complete print job as one single PDF or create individual PDF files per output document
