The portfolio of Rüsselsheim-based DETEC founded in 1986 comprises output management products that format output data, texts and layouts to create visually sophisticated, well-structured business documents such as invoices, orders or goods declaration papers. DETEC’s flagship products are the LaserSoft® system introduced in the 90’s and its successor DoXite®.

Automatic Formatting, Production and Distribution of Documents
DoXite® and LaserSoft® automatically transform data from diverse source applications into formatted, well-structured documents with a customizable layout to match the corporate design. Users can flexibly choose the data format, such as PDF, XML or PCL/XL, depending on the specific business communication in question.

New DoXite® Software Generation for Communication without Limits
DoXite®, the latest generation of the successful LaserSoft system for Windows, Linux and Unix, is based on an object-oriented design and processes Unicode, which means it can be employed anywhere in the world. DoXite® accepts input data from a broad range of applications – including ERP programs like SAP – and dynamically produces formatted documents. It also offers various output drivers and interfaces for printers and electronic media. The modular DoXite® has already been certified for all SAP output data formats and is easily integrated into spooling or output management systems and linked with processes of other components. The Integrated Configuration Environment, a graphical user interface, is the central tool for configuring and administrating the entire system. The Data Styler supports many different source data formats and turns them into XML; then, the Document Styler determines the document layout and places the variable XML data at the correct locations. The DoXite Server integrated via an API processes variable data and makes documents available in different formats such as PDF, regardless of the output management system used.

Stand-Alone Solutions for Output Management
In addition to the ‘major’ software systems DoXite and LaserSoft, DETEC also offers a range of stand-alone solutions, including OM Plus, a highly powerful and cost-effective product for output management on Windows, Linux and Unix platforms. The myPDFconvert® software developed in 2006 converts PDF documents and common archive or digital inbox image formats into PDF/A-compliant documents (ISO 19005-1) or other PDF variants. And in complex SAP environments, mySPAD® takes care of automatically synchronizing and updating the printer master data maintained in the connected SAP and output systems.
